Some tough injury news for the Swift Current Broncos.
Veteran forward Rylan Gould is out of the lineup pending further test results.
"We're still waiting on some imaging and waiting to hear back from the doctor," said Broncos head coach Taras McEwan. "Definitely week-to-week with him, but still waiting to get confirmation from the doctor."
He was hurt during Saturday's Broncos win in Brandon.
"He's been really good to start," McEwan said. "Even though he wasn't scoring before this past weekend, he was involved in a lot of our scoring chances that I track. I thought he was playing a really good 200-foot game, so obviously it was really good to see him come through in a big way offensively last weekend. Really tough to see him get that injury with how he was starting to play. I'm just hoping it's not long term, but he's in good spirits."
Gould was dominate in last Friday's win over Saskatoon with five points in the 6-3 victory.
Swift Current will get defenceman Peyton Kettles back on Wednesday against Calgary. He was out of the lineup for their wins against Saskatoon and Brandon on the weekend.
The Broncos also added overage forward Carlon Dezainde today from Prince George. He will be in Swift Current sometime this week.
