Temperatures have gotten down to the seasonal low, but Environment Canada's outlook is showing that we'll see more warm fall weather over this week.

While temperatures today are scrapping the seasonal averages, another bounce in temperatures is expected to begin tomorrow.

Meteorologist Stephen Berg lays out the upcoming swell of warmth.

"There's a bit of a warm-up that starts up starting on Monday with the highs into the mid to high teens for Monday and then up to the low 20s for Wednesday, maybe even as high as 25°, before another cool down towards the end of next week. So the day on Wednesday, if it's into the 20s, it'll be somewhere between 8 and 12 degrees above normal."

While daytime temperatures will feel closer to summer, nighttime temperatures will remain low and much closer to the seasonal average.

"Largely, it's the less and less daylight during during the day. This time of year, the lows are typically quite a bit further below the highs given that when you have the sun setting the heat, especially since it's typically a little bit drier too in the fall, can more readily escape into the higher into the atmosphere from the ground."

While those overnight lows will still be above the seasonal temperature they'll be well above the freezing point for the week.

"So the overnight lows therefore can dip quite a bit further, even towards a little bit closer to a normal low, the low for mid-week looks to be about the +4 or so, but that's still about 5° above normal, but still quite a bit less than the 10-ish degrees above normal that the highs will be, so largely due to overnight heat heat loss."
