The Blackfalds Bulldogs are still looking for their first win of the BCHL season after dropping a 3-2 nailbiter in Surrey, BC Friday night.
The Bulldogs would find themselves down 2-0 early in the third but would battle back with goals from Jamie Darlison and Aidan Castle. Darlison's power play marker was the first of the season for Blackfalds who went into the game 0-for-18 with the man-advantage.
Brandon Gill netted his fourth of the season and second of the game with less than four minutes remaining to put the Eagles in front for good.
Blackfalds outshot Surrey 42-31. The Bulldogs went 1-for-4 with the man advantage while the Eagles were 0-for-1.
The Bulldogs, who sit with an 0-6 record, will look to rebound Saturday night in Chilliwack, BC against the Chiefs. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. MT.
