The Blackfalds Bulldogs lost a back-and-forth affair at the BCHL Showcase in Abbotsford, BC on Thanksgiving Monday, falling to the Vernon Vipers 6-4.
The Bulldogs found themselves down 2-0 early in the second but bounced back with goals by Alexander Dimitriadis (power play) and Tyler Chiovetti.
The Vipers would go up 4-2 early in the third but the Bulldogs were able to tie things up with back-to-back goals by Jack McAra.
Will Schumacher scored the winning goal for the Vipers at 12:07 of the third unassisted. Vernon would add an empty netter to seal the 6-4 victory.

Both teams had 25 shots on net. The Bulldogs were 1-for-5 on the power play while the Vipers were 0-for-4.
Blackfalds will play its final game at the BCHL Showcase Tuesday afternoon against Prince George. Puck drop is at 4 p.m. PDT. The team returns home to face Sherwood Park on Friday night.
The Bulldogs remain winless on the 2024-25 BCHL season with an 0-8 record.
