The Blackfalds Bulldogs picked up their first win of the 2024-25 BCHL season with a 2-1 win over Prince George on Tuesday at the BCHL Showcase in Abbotsford, BC.

The Bulldogs now sit with a 1-8 record.

Blackfalds opened the scoring 9:13 into the first period with Jamie Darlison finding the back of the net on the power play.

Joey Melo netted his fourth of the season shorthanded to put the Bulldogs up 2-0 early in the second.

Ethan Montroy was able to get Prince George on the board at 13:19 of the middle frame.

There was no scoring in the final period.

Blackfalds ended the night 1-for-3 on the power play while Prince George was 0-for-5.

The Bulldogs are back in action Friday night hosting Sherwood Park at the Eagle Builders Centre starting at 7 p.m.
