Estevan's Free Landfill Weekend starts tomorrow, allowing residents to dispose of certain household items at no cost.
Running from Friday to Sunday, the event is open only to Estevan residents, with proof of residency required. Commercial properties and rural customers are not eligible.
Accepted items include furniture, grass clippings, tree branches, and regular household garbage. Some appliances will be accepted, excluding refrigerators and air conditioners. Mattresses, box springs, and hazardous waste are not allowed.
Residents are reminded to fully cover and secure their loads, as required by Bylaw 96-1489, to prevent litter during transport.
The landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
