The Swift Current Comp. Colts will begin their journey for a third straight SHSAA 5A South Rural Football League's Tier 2 Championship tomorrow.

Swift Current will kickoff playoff action at Colts Field against the Estevan Elecs, with the winner moving onto the championship game next weekend against the Moose Jaw Peacock Tornadoes.

The Colts picked up their lone victory on the season over the Elecs on September 24 30-14.

"When you get to the playoffs, everybody's 0-0 and you know the previous games don't really mean a whole lot," Colts Head Coach Derek Murdoch said. "You take some of the things that you've seen that worked well with the last time we played them."

Swift Current's defence has held the Colts in plenty of games this season, with the team's offence starting to show larger signs of life lately.

"We've been fairly balanced the last couple of weeks (on offence) and Jake Woods has kind of been the guy for us carrying the ball," Murdoch said. "He's gotten better week-by-week, but we've made some changes in the offensive line which make things much easier for Jake. Obviously, he can't do a whole lot on his own if we don't have the big guys up front doing their job, so we've been better there... You know Owen Sletten, our quarterback has gotten better week-by-week too."

Country 94.1's Local Sports Live will have the game beginning with a pre-game show at 12:45 p.m.
