The Red Deer Rebels dropped their second game to Edmonton in a span of eight days falling again 5-1 Sunday afternoon in front of 4,040 fans at the Peavey Mart Centrium.
With the loss, the Rebels record fell to 6-4-1-0.
The Oil Kings were up 4-0 after two periods of play including a couple of power play markers.
Luke Vlooswlyk got Red Deer on the board with his first of the season early in the third.

Red Deer outshot Edmonton 43-28. The Rebels finished the night 0-for-3 on the power play while Edmonton was 3-for-5.
Next up the Rebels host the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. at the Peavey Mart Centrium.
