Swift Current's U14 Steelers took on the Moose Jaw Mafia over the weekend to battle it out for fifth place in the Southwest Sports Excellence Bowl.
Yesterday afternoon, kick-off was at 3:00 p.m. for the final game of the season as the Steelers won't play again until next Labour Day.
Despite Moose Jaw's 13 - 6 win over the Steelers, spirits were high all around and the autumn weather was ideal.
Tyson Congdon, head coach for the U14 Steelers, noted that everyone played well and the players put in their best effort.
"The game went pretty good, we were missing some players on defence that kind of contributed to the loss," shared Congdon. "Offence moved the ball pretty well and defence some pretty big stops close to our goal line a couple of times."
