SaskPower reporting Interac e-transfer email scam targeting customers

SaskPower is reporting that they're receiving reports of a scam targeting their customers.

The scam is in the form of an email, stating that people have received a request to transfer money from the SaskPower Carbon Council.

The email notifies the customer of a large deposit being e-transferred to them from the Government of Saskatchewan.

SaskPower informs residents that they do not send e-transfers and they encourage customers to check the address that the email is sent from.

Any customers who have clicked the link are encouraged to call law enforcement immediately.
