With the regular season coming to an end, the provincial playoff quarterfinal matchups are set for this Saturday.
The Humboldt Mohawks advanced to provincials after picking up a victory over John Paul II (North Battleford). Humboldt will travel to Lumsden to meet the Devils on Saturday.
In six-man football, the Wakaw Warriors put the finishing touches on their undefeated regular season (6-0) with a 46-33 victory over the Shellbrook Aardvarks. Wakaw will host Unity in the first round of provincial playoffs.
The Watrous Wildcats ended their regular season with a 52-19 victory on home turf against the Davidson Raiders. Watrous finishes in second spot in their conference and will head on the road to begin the playoffs in Southey.
Wynyard will start the provincial playoffs on the road in Clavet. The Bears beat the Ituna Trojans 62-44 in their final regular season game. Wynyard ends the regular season in second place in their conference.
The Lanigan Lazers finished the season off with a 46-8 loss to Southey on Thursday.
On the 1A side of six-man football, the St. Brieux Crusaders will host Kerrobert in a provincial playoff matchup this Saturday following their undefeated regular season.
