The Yorkton Terriers have been forced to forfeit three wins since October 11th, as the league has ruled the team used an ineligible player in its last six games. The forfeited games are wins against Nipawin on October 11th, Estevan on October 16th, and Melville on October 18th.

The Terriers did have the ineligible player, who was not named by the league, in their game against the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings on October 12th. However, as that was a win for the Red Wings, there is no change to whether it was a win or loss. However, the score is now considered a 6-0 final for standings purposes. This gives Weyburn a goal differential of +22 on the season, the largest differential of all teams in the league so far.

With the changes, the Terriers fall from a tie for first place in the SJHL to 9th overall in the standings as their record changes from 8-3-0-0 to 5-6-0-0. The Melville Millionaires now move into first place overall by virtue of gaining the two points from what was originally a loss on October 18th. The Red Wings move into second in the Viterra Division and fourth place overall with the changes.

In the statement posted to their website, the league stated the Terriers broke section 4.1 of the league's rules and regulations, which state no player can participate in a league game unless they are on the team’s player-protected lists, which must be completed through an electronic registration process. In addition to the forfeiture of the game, the team receives a mandatory fine of $450.
