Traffic is flowing again on a stretch of Highway 2 southwest of Winnipeg after being closed Thursday morning due to a motor vehicle collision.

Manitoba Infrastructure sent out a release just before 8:30 a.m. saying the highway is closed on the east side of Elm Creek near PR 247.

STARS air ambulance along with other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene.

Manitoba Infrastructure sent out another notice at 10:25 a.m. reporting that the highway had been reopened.

There is no word at this time on the cause, how many vehicles were involved, or the extent of any injuries.
