We're now a couple of days into the provincial election's advance polls and electorates are coming out to voting locations in droves.

Elections Saskatchewan announced yesterday that 60,745 voters throughout the province have cast their ballots on Tuesday. This is about 20,000 more than in 2020's general election, which yielded 41,458 voters on the first day.

Tim Kydd, senior director for outreach and communications for the organization, noted in a statement that this doesn't include votes cast in personal care facilities.

There are 303 advanced polling locations throughout the province. All of them will continue to be open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. through Saturday. The final day of voting in the general election is Monday, October 28.
