The Swift Current Broncos are home for games against Lethbridge and Seattle this weekend.
The starts tonight with the Hurricanes in town.
"They're a high skill, high compete team," said Broncos Captain Clarke Caswell. "We've been playing them a lot in the past few years so we know what they're all about. We've just got to be ready from the first puck drop."
Getting off to a good start has been a consistent theme for the Broncos as they try to find some consistency.
"The starts will dictate how we play the rest of the game," Caswell said. "If we're going to have a jump and play physical off the bat, I think energy will just itself for the rest of the periods."
Swift Current is coming off two wins at home last weekend. They beat Spokane 5-0 and won a thrilling 6-5 game against Moose Jaw in overtime.
"We had all four lines going," Caswell said. "We were able to roll the lines and keep everyone fresh. That was one of our biggest goals going into the weekend and I felt we succeeded at that."
Swift Current is 6-5 on the season, while Lethbridge is 6-2-1 and sitting in a tie for second place in the WHL Eastern Conference.
You can hear the game on Country 94.1 FM with Redhead Equipment and Case IH Broncos Hockey at 6:45pm. Puck drop is just after 7:00pm at the InnovationPlex.
