Officers from the Red Deer RCMP Youth and Community Action Team (YCAT) and Red Deer RCMP Police and Crisis Team (PACT) partnered with local schools to host two parent information nights.
The events, held at St. Joseph High School and Central Middle School, on Oct. 21 and Oct. 23, provided an opportunity for open communication between police and families.
YCAT shared information on online safety, anti-bullying strategies, and legal aspects affecting young people.
The discussions aimed to equip parents and guardians with practical tools to help their children navigate challenges.
“Our goal is to support families by offering insights into issues that impact our youth, providing them with the knowledge to make informed decisions,” said Cpl. Amber Prosser, NCO of Red Deer RCMP YCAT. “When we work together, we build a safer, more resilient community”
