Alberta erases deficit to keep Saskatchewan out of WHL Cup final

Team Alberta scored eight straight times to come from down 4-0 and beat Saskatchewan at the WHL Cup on Saturday.

The win redeems their 5-2 loss to Saskatchewan in round robin, and puts Alberta in the gold medal game against Manitoba.

Saskatchewan will play BC in the bronze medal game on Sunday in Red Deer.

There are five members of the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires playing for Saskatchewan at the tournament for elite 15-year-olds in the four western Canadian provinces. 

Trae Peterson had a goal and an assist, while Jake Hargrave chipped in two assists for Saskatchewan. Both Legionnaires have five points in four tournament games.
