Weyburn upends Wildcats in shootout

Hallie Parada scored with 8 seconds to play in regulation and added the shootout winner as the Weyburn Gold Wings beat the Swift Current Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats 4-3 on Saturday.

The point from the shootout loss means Swift Current sits tied with Weyburn and Prince Albert for 4th place in the Saskatchewan female U18 AAA hockey league.

Jade Thompson, Kara Bergen and Reece Hawkins scored for the Wildcats as they outshot Weyburn 39-29.

Stevie Christiaens had Swift Current's only goal of the shootout as it went five shooters deep.

The two clubs play again on Sunday at 2:30pm in the Swift Current S3 Arenas.
