Central Albertans may finally see some snow on the ground when they wake-up Tuesday morning.
Christy Climenhaga is a scientist with Environment and Climate Change Canada.
"We are watching a little disturbance making its way through the province which will bring some wet weather tonight, especially to that Edmonton to Red Deer corridor," she said. "It looks like you will likely see a little bit of snow accumulating tonight, probably in that five-centimetre zone overnight in the Lacombe and Red Deer area. It could mean a little bit of a slower drive in the morning."
Climenhaga says temperatures are expected to be below normal for the rest of the week.
"For Halloween it does look like it might be a little bit of a chillier one. Not minus 20 or anything like that but temperatures may be in that minus three, minus four-degree range for your Halloween day. Something to keep in mind as you're planning out the costumes for the kiddos. You might need a few extra layers under there."
She says the temperature is expected to drop down to around minus nine by 9 p.m Thursday night.
The normal daytime high for this time of year is around six degrees celsius.
