Red Deer Polytechnic (RDP) welcomed Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould as the latest speaker for its Perspectives: Canada in the World series.
Author, former member of Parliament, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, Wilson-Raybould, discussed Being an Agent of Change and the Nature of Integrity on Oct. 23.
Wilson-Raybould first spoke to an audience of more than 100 RDP students, sharing her life experiences as a descendant of the Musgamagw Tsawataineuk and Laich-Kwil-Tach peoples, her journey in politics, and shared ways on how students can speak up and advocate for societal change.

In the evening, Wilson-Raybould shared lessons she’s learned about leadership as an Indigenous person in Canada and her experience as an Indigenous person in politics with nearly 400 RDP faculty, staff, and students.
After speaking, Wilson-Raybould answered questions from audience members.
