Several Swift Current Judo Club athletes made the trip to Winnipeg over the weekend to compete in a tournament that counts towards their national standings.
The Manitoba Open Tournament took place on Saturday and Sunday and was attended by Swift Current's Eliot Perrault, Talon Moen, Karlee Rempel, Kadence Rempel, and Blake Rempel.
Blake secured gold in the U16 male advanced under 42 kilograms division, Kadence took bronze in the U12 female group two, and Karlee captured gold in the U10 mixed group two.
In total, Saskatchewan sent 42 competitors and took home a total of 15 gold medals, 13 silver medals, and 10 bronze medals.
