The Swift Current Broncos are riding high after a homestand that saw them build up a four-game winning streak.
They beat Lethbridge 4-1 on Friday and Seattle 7-4 on Saturday.
The homestand started with a 6-3 loss to Everett, but they won all four games since then.
"You want to establish yourself at home," said Broncos assistant coach Zach Franko. "Especially early in the year. We want to be good at home. We want to make teams come in here, obviously you want to win every game, but if you lose you want to really make them earn it and feel it. I feel like we're starting to come. Our record speaks for itself over the last five. Hopefully we'll continue that and do the same thing on the road."
Brady Birnie led the way on the weekend with six points in two games, while Luke Mistelbacher had five points over that same span.
"We have a lot of young guys that have had to step up," Franko said. "There's a ton of opportunity for them. We've got our high-end guys too. (Mistlebacher) has done a fantastic job on an eight-game point streak. Brady Birnie is on fire right now. Josh McGregor is getting going. It's awesome to see him getting rewarded offensively too. Even the depth guys like Jaxien Guachier out there banging bodies. When we can put that together we are a tough team to beat."
Swift Current sits at 8-5 on the season after an 0-2 start.
They head out on the road Wednesday to visit the Lethbridge Hurricanes in a re-match of Friday's Broncos win.
"They're going to be hungry to give it back to us on their home ice," Franko said.
Swift Current then visits Prince Albert on Friday and hosts Regina on Saturday.
