UPDATE 10:40 p.m.: With 26 of 29 polls reported, incumbent Lori Carr's gap has widened by about 3000 votes. She now leads the Estevan-Big Muddy with 3624 votes. Meanwhile, NDP's Phil Smith currently sits at 622 votes. Buffalo Party's Phil Zajac holds 529 votes.

As of 10:03 p.m., DiscoverEstevan can now project that incumbent MLA Lori Carr will continue to serve the Estevan-Big Muddy riding. 

"It's just such a pleasure to be able to serve the constituency of Estevan-Big Muddy. I've worked hard for the past eight years and I can guarantee everybody that [for] the next four years, I'm going to to work just as hard, if not harder," expressed Carr. 

According to Elections Saskatchewan, the SaskParty nominee nabbed 1609 votes with 16 out of 29 polls reported. The NDP's Phil Smith has picked up 230 votes and Phil Zajac of the Buffalo Party had 206 voters. 

"We ran on the campaign slogan 'Strong Economy, Bright Future' and this is a party that will create that strong economy so that we can keep our young children here in Saskatchewan so that they can have a bright future. There's no question in my mind that we're going to continue that," she added. 

She expressed gratitude to the voters in the riding for their support. 

Votes continue to be tallied throughout the different ridings in the province. At the time of writing, the leading party of the province has yet to be announced. To follow along, you can check out the results here.
