Lacombe City Council has approved the Social Needs Assessment and Prioritization Final Report, which outlines a summary list of initiatives based on community social priorities identified in Phase One of the project.

Phase Two articulates the community's short, medium, and long-term goals.

"Council is pleased to adopt the Final Report of the Social Needs Assessment and Prioritization Report," said Mayor Grant Creasey. "Ensuring Lacombe's enviable quality of life applies to all residents is one of the City's strategic priorities. By creating clear metrics of success, we will have a roadmap to our community's social success."

Phase Two involved engagement over the summer, including a community survey, a Community Conference, participation at the Fall Active Living Fair (Coffee with Council), and a presentation of the Draft final report to the Lacombe & District Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Board on October 16th, 2024.

The Phase One report acknowledged Lacombe's many assets and strengths, such as Strong Support Networks and Volunteerism; Inclusive and Accessible Services; Physical and Social Gathering Spaces; Active Community Programs; and Community Inclusivity and Support.
