With parents preparing their children for Halloween tomorrow night, a bit of fall chill is sweeping through the area which could cause concern for parents.
Temperatures are expected to be close to seasonal, which will mean a frigid night temperature for any late trick-or-treaters.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Danielle Desjardins says that other than the temperatures the weather will be smooth over the next few days.
"Well, it's going to be pretty benign actually for the next few days leading up into Halloween. So we're looking at daytime highs in the high single digits so 7-8 degrees, mainly sunny skies. A little bit of mixed skies on Halloween, but pretty light winds and yeah, just pretty benign weather."
Overnight temperatures meanwhile will be between -3 and -5, with conditions staying dry enough that we'll avoid ice.
Temperatures are expected to warm up later in the week, followed closely by precipitation over the week.
Overall, Desjardins says that the forecast is forming up to give the southeast an ideal Halloween.
