The County of Stettler has lifted all fire restrictions as of 10 a.m. on November 1, 2024.

Regular fire permit conditions will apply going forward.

New permits will be issued by contacting the County of Stettler office during regular office hours:

  • Permit period is limited to 14 days
  • Permit holder is responsible for the safe control of the burning
  • Wind conditions must be less than 10km per hour
  • Minimum of one responsible adult present at burn site
  • All brush piles burned during the winter months must be buried at the conclusion of the burning and covered with soil to ensure the fire cannot re-ignite
  • Consideration must be given to neighbours to avoid discomfort as a result of burning

Conditions will continue to be monitored.
