Central Alberta could see some snow with a low pressure system moving through the region tonight and tomorrow.
Rob Griffith is a lead meteorologist with Environment & Climate Change Canada.
"There will be some active weather over the next couple of days," he said. "We'll have a low pressure system moving through Alberta tonight and Tuesday and that will bring a bit of snow to the Red Deer, Lacombe area maybe two centimetres, it might be more further east of Highway 2 than in the Highway 2 corridor...We'll see a warmup for the end of the week back up to maybe double digits."
The normal daytime high for this time of year is about plus three degrees with the normal overnight low minus seven.
The mean temperature recorded for the Red Deer region in October was 5.2 degrees, which is slightly higher than the normal of 3.9.
The area received 11.4 millimeters of precipitation last month, which is about half of the normal amount for October.
