It was a historic weekend for Ponoka Broncs football.

Since football’s return to Ponoka in 2007, the Broncs hadn't won a league championship until this past weekend.

The Bantam Broncs earned the Pool A CAFL title, while the Peewee Broncs earned the Pool C CPWFL title. The Senior Broncs won their last game, earning third spot.

The bantams and seniors have advanced to provincials, another first for Ponoka football.

The Bantam Broncs will be hosting provincials against the Taber Rebels on Saturday, November 9 at 2 p.m.

Scores:
Senior Broncs 68-0 over Coaldale
Bantam Broncs 52-12 over Olds
Peewee Broncs 19-6 over Rocky
