While it wasn't easy to earn, it was easy to understand why Revolution Automotive won its SCBEX Award.

The 2024 Start Up/ New Business SCBEX Award was presented to both Montana Gamel and Brandi Baron. The two co-founders of the automotive shop were ecstatic to have been recognized for their efforts in the community by their peers.

"We feel honoured," said Gamel. "The community stood behind us from the very beginning, and they obviously appreciate the stuff we're doing."

Receiving the award showed the pair that their approach to mechanics work and customer-first business practices is not only paying off but also being recognized locally for a great work model.

"When we find something wrong with someone's vehicle, we pull them in the back and we show them exactly what's wrong with it or we send them photos," began Gamel.

"We want them to be as knowledgeable as we are while working on their vehicle," continued Baron.

The ability to communicate and show what they are doing to their customers is something that has kept people coming back. By showing folks what is wrong, how they fix it, and what may need work in the future, Gamel and Baron hope to alleviate the stress of vehicle repairs.

"I feel like it can be very intimidating to bring your vehicle into a mechanic, let alone being stuck with a giant bill," said Baron. "We'll do an overall of your vehicle and then we'll pull you in the back and show you, you need this right away to make sure that your vehicle is safe, and six months down the road, you should be looking at getting this done as preventative maintenance."

For now, the award itself can not be found at the Revolution Automotive shop. Gamel's mother has brought it home to show off for the time being, after which at some point it may end up back with the owners.
