Ski season kicks off as snow falls in Cochrane area

With the snow and cooler temperatures comes the start of ski season in Alberta. 

Lake Louise Ski Resort is opening its hills to the public today. 

Not all the runs are quite ready yet, only mainly the lower mountain runs like Bald Eagle and Easy Street.

The hill has received over 10 inches of snow and has been making snow for the last two weeks in preparation for today.

Sunshine Village in Banff is set to open on Friday, November 8, weather pending and Mt. Norquay will open on Saturday November 9.

Castle Mountain is expected to open December 6.
