Paying tribute to our veterans by raising a sweat is happening this Wednesday, Nov. 6.

The 6th annual free Sweat for a Vet boot camp takes place at the SLS Centre's recently upgraded indoor court starting at 9:15 a.m., following by the return of the military march at 10:30 a.m.

For the first time, it's a fundraiser for the Wayfinders Wellness Society to assist them in continuing to provide free services for veterans and first responders suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Society executive director Paul Wagman says they have introduced three prizes this year, courtesy of some generous donors. They'll be awarded to the person who finishes first, who makes the most effort (regardless of time), and to the person/team raising the most funds.

"Wayfinders is one of those resources that military veterans and responders still need in response to their sacrifice of service," he says.  "Anyone or any team who would like to raise funds they can go to our website and there's opportunities to raise funds for our Sweat for a Vet event," says Wagman.

Details are also available at the SLS Centre.
