Building permit values increased in October, with 133 issued permits valued at $12.4 million, compared with 71 issued permits in October 2023 worth $2.8 million.

Year-to-date values remain higher in 2024, with current values at $105 million, compared with $76.6 million at this time last year.

Notable permits include:

  • Building permit for expansion to existing manufacturing warehouse facility, including new sprinklers, fire alarm and minor exterior renovations to existing building at 7883 Edgar Industrial Way, valued at $2.2 million
  • Building permit for tenant improvements to offices, meeting rooms and reception area, including new flooring, wall finishes, lighting fixtures and upgrades to plumbing and HVAC at 120-5441 45 Street, valued at $1.2 million
  • Building permit for fire reclamation, including demolition of affected areas in the shop and mezzanine, construction to rebuild according to original plans and drawings at 7919 Quinton Drive, valued at $945,000
  • Building permit for renovations to roof area to prepare for future tenant patio area at 410-4900 Molly Banister Drive, valued at $700,000
  • Building permit for demolition of interior partition walls and kitchen space to create open space for future tenant at 4950 47 Avenue, valued at $450,000.
