Yesterday snow snowstorm wasn't the biggest, but it certainly left its mark in southwest Saskatchewan.

The storm, which originated in Alberta, arrived yesterday morning and lasted until roughly 5:30 p.m. in Swift Current.

Snowfall totals haven't been recorded for the Swift Current region, but Cypress Hill got hit the hardest on record, receiving 12 centimetres of snowfall.

On the other end of the record, Kindersley only received two centimetres.

Shannon Moodie, meteorologist for Environment and Climate Change Canada is offering a clear forecast for the time being, with no more snow expected.

"There's no systems that we're tracking right now," said Moodie. "There's no snow in the long-range forecast and we are looking that it's going to be quite a pleasant end to the week and beginning to the weekend."

For now, while the highways are still icy, folks should be checking the Highway Hotline for any delays, incidents, or road closures. The hotline has tools for effectively planning a route around any stoppages or slowdowns and will advise when travel is not recommended.
