RCMP have confirmed three locals died in yesterday's two-vehicle collision.
The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. on Highway 4, roughly six kilometres south of Swift Current, near the intersection of Highway 363.
Investigation determined that a southbound SUV and a northbound car collided. The driver and two passengers of the car were declared deceased at the scene.
The car's occupants have been identified as a 41-year-old female, a 14-year-old female, and a 13-year-old female. They were all from the Swift Current rural area.
The adult male driver of the SUV was the vehicle's lone occupant and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Swift Current Rural RCMP is continuing to investigate this matter, with assistance from a Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
Highway 4 was closed after this incident but has since reopened.
