As work continues on two major pathways in Cochrane, the Town has released an update on the progress in Glenbow and Cochrane Ranche.
"Pathway paving has now been completed as scheduled through both Glenbow and the Cochrane Ranche," reads a post on Facebook by the Town of Cochrane.
"The Cochrane Ranche pathway is set to officially open soon, and once it is open our Parks team will keep it cleared throughout the winter to ensure it’s accessible year-round."
While the paving of the two areas has wrapped up, Cochranites will need to wait a little longer for new bridges.
"The installation of new pedestrian bridges on the Glenbow section of the project has hit a delay due to unexpected ground conditions, which required adjustments to the bridge foundations."
"With the additional work needed on the foundations, bridge construction is now expected to continue through mid-December."
The Town has received multiple inquiries about how the bridges will look along the pathway systems. The bridges are to sport a rustic, natural look that has been inspired by Parks Canada.
