Lacombe Nurseries Residence receives heritage plaque

A plaque presentation was made Nov. 4 at the Lacombe Nurseries Limited Residence (5650 58th Street) as it was designated as a Municipal Historic Resource.

The Lacombe Nurseries Limited Residence is a bungalow constructed in 1922. The home features a gable roof, natural materials, and a covered front porch.   

The exterior has a cottage-like appearance and original elements such as a side-gabled roof, and a gabled front porch supported by tapered square columns on brick and concrete piers.   

The building is significant for its unique architecture, and connection to the founders and operators of Lacombe Nurseries.
