Returning officer Clint Mauthe gave Notice of Abandonment of Poll as the mayor and town councillors have been acclaimed.
Sharon Schauenberg has been acclaimed as mayor. She is turning for her second term as the mayor of Assiniboia. Schauenberg was first elected in 2020 and became the first woman to be elected as the mayor in the town’s history.
Also being elected to the town council by acclamation are Renaud Bissonnette, Renee Clermont, Robert Ellert, Patrick Grondin, Graham Harvey and Kris Olson.
