Tim Hortons’ holiday Smile Cookie Campaign returns next week, with 50 per cent of the proceeds benefiting Estevan's Salvation Army Food Bank, and 50 per cent going towards Tim's Camps.
“So two good causes and everybody loves cookies. We’re hoping people will come out and support that. The campaign runs from the 18th to the 24th,” said Community Ministries Director Ronza Reynard.
While buying cookies is key to the fundraiser, Reynard is also looking for volunteers to help decorate.
“We could always use a few extra hands. We’ll be decorating Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at our building. Anyone interested in volunteering can give us a call to see which days we still need help,” Reynard said, noting they aim to have six volunteers each day. Those interested in volunteering can call (306)634-2074.
For those wishing to place bulk orders, pre-order forms are available at both Tim Hortons locations to ensure cookies are ready for pickup.
“It’s a great time of year to buy cookies—whether for the office, a favourite shop, or just to surprise someone with a box,” Reynard said.
“Just go buy a whole lot of cookies,” she added.
Proceeds from the campaign will go back to the local food bank to support the community during the holiday season.
