The City of Red Deer says a mailing disruption means The City cannot mail utility bills, account information or regular correspondence to customers and stakeholders.

Starting Friday, outgoing mail will be held at City Hall for one week, where recipients are able to pick up.

During a mailing disruption, utility and other City bill payments are still due on the specified due date, and applicable late penalties will not be waived.

Customers are encouraged to register for a MyCity profile at RedDeer.ca/MyCityLogin to view account information for business licences, dog licences, utility billing and property tax.

Invoices for landfill and sani-dump services will be emailed, when possible.

Ambulance false alarm and fire inspection invoices can be picked up at City Hall. Invoices with values over $5,000 will be emailed or couriered.

Mail that is addressed to The City of Red Deer can be dropped off at City Hall, during regular business hours, or placed in the after hours drop boxes located at both City Hall entrances.

"We're committed to maintaining customer services through this postal disruption," said Jennifer Thomas, Information Management Services Supervisor. "We encourage residents and businesses to use our available online and in-person options to manage their accounts and payments without interruption. Our team is ready to assist anyone who may have questions, ensuring that essential services remain accessible and efficient for everyone in our community."

Anyone who is uncertain about an outstanding invoice is encouraged to contact Accounts Receivable at 403-342-8110.

More information is available on The City’s website. Updates will be posted as more information becomes available.
