The Haunted Town of Lil - Sur - Mer held their annual wind up and cheque presentations this past weekend where they announced raising over $28,000 this year.

"This is our annual pizza party to recognize, mostly, our scarers or our scream team, but this is also where we present the cheques to the recipients we've chosen," said Keys. "It goes up every year, last year we raised just over $24,000 and we've got some big plans for next year."
The following groups were awarded donations;
Swift Current Skating Club - $2,000
Swift Current Scouts - $2,000
Penner-Petterson Cat Colony - $2,000
City of Swift Current Community Programs - $2,000

The event kicked off at around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening with pizza and drinks before the cheque presentations and prize draws.
"To receive a donation like this is a huge blessing," Tom Weppler, director of MyCityCare, added. "We're very thankful, we have a lot of things we'd like to be doing in the community and this is going to be a great help to get that off the ground."
