The Art Gallery of Swift Current will soon be opening up a unique new exhibition, the Members' Snow & Sale.

The Snow & Sale will sell and showcase artworks by local artists who are members of the Art Gallery from November 22 to January 4.

Luke Maddaford, curator of exhibitions and programming at the Art Gallery of Swift Current, highlighted that the Art Gallery doesn't normally have items on display for sale so this is a unique opportunity.

"Our Members' Snow & Sale is just in time for the holiday season," he shared. "So if you're looking for a nice gift for a loved one, this is a great opportunity to pick up something that's made locally and support some of the artists we have in the region."

A public reception for the Snow & Sale is set to take place on November 29 beginning at 7:00 p.m. with refreshments and a chance to mingle with the artists.

"Enjoy some food, enjoy some drinks, talk to the artists, take a look at the work, maybe buy something," said Maddaford. "Just to get to know the artists in the community and see what they're up to."

A portion of the proceeds will go to support the gallery's programs and free events and anyone interested in purchasing any of the art can speak with someone at the Art Gallery.
