Estevan Fire and Rescue (EFR) responded to several incidents last week, including alarms, vehicle crashes, and a rollover.
On Nov. 12, EFR was dispatched to a commercial carbon monoxide alarm in the central part of the city. Crews investigated and detected a small amount of carbon monoxide in the building. They ventilated the premises, and the source of the gas is being investigated further. No illnesses or injuries were reported.
The following day, crews responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash in the north-central area of the city. Upon investigation, the incident was determined to be minor, and no further assistance was required.
On Nov. 15, EFR was dispatched for a smoke investigation west of the city around noon. An on-call duty officer responded to the scene while a crew remained on standby. The source of the smoke was identified as a small controlled burn, and no assistance was required.
On Nov. 16, just before 11 a.m., EFR responded to a single-vehicle rollover approximately seven miles north of the city. There was no entrapment or reported injuries. Crews assisted on the scene with the vehicle's occupants, as well as traffic control and scene cleanup.
On Nov. 17, around 2:30 p.m., EFR was dispatched to a residential fire alarm in the northwest part of the city. The alarm was confirmed to be false, and crews were stood down.
