While the Swift Current Comp Ardens celebrated a 5A girls provincial volleyball championship, several other local teams also participated in provincial or regional tournaments.
The Swift Current Comp Colts had a strong showing in the round robin at 5A boys provincials in Balgonie.
They went 3-1 with wins over PA Carlton, Regina LeBoldus and Regina Winston Knoll. Their only loss came against eventual silver medalists Saskatoon Aden Bowman.
The Colts then dropped a close 2-1 match to the eventual champions from Saskatoon St Joseph in the quarterfinals.
Shaunavon dropped both their matches at 3A regionals in Clavet.
They fell 2-0 to Unity and 2-1 against Biggar.
At 2A regionals, Ponteix lost 2-0 to the eventual champions from Regina Harvest City and 2-1 against Eston.
Consul advanced to provincials after a 1A regional tournament in Cabri.
They made it to the final and lost a tight match against Annaheim 2-1 including a 16-14 third set.
Consul advances to 1A boys provincials as the #2 seed.
Frontier and Cabri also played in the tournament but were not able to qualify for provincials this year.
