Swift Current business owners and chamber members are invited to the third session of Cops & Coffee where attendees will learn all about alternative measures.
The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce will host the event beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Innovation Credit Union building this Thursday.
Karla Wiens, chief executive officer for the Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce, noted that they're also seeking input on other issues that the RCMP can address.
"This has been really well received by the business community, many business owners don't have the time or aren't sure who to call," she explained. "The information the RCMP provide can help their business in various ways.
"There has recently been one on shoplifting which was very effective."
Thursday's Cops & Coffee will feature guests from Regina who will delve more into alternative measures along with local RCMP.
"This just equips business owners with some tools to get ahead, as well as what their role is and how they can address their concerns," added Wiens.
Additionally, as the name suggests, coffee will be available as well as donuts for those who attend.
