Mark Shier
1966-2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of (Joseph) Mark Shier, who left us on Saturday, November 16th, at the age of 57, after a courageous battle with kidney failure. Mark was born in Estevan and spent most of his life in the community he loved.
Mark was known for his warm and outgoing nature-he was a true social butterfly who preferred picking up the phone to connect with friends rather than exchanging text messages. Whether hunting, fishing, or simply spending time with those close to him, Mark thrived in the company of others, always surrounded by a large circle of friends and loved ones. He valued relationships deeply, and his infectious enthusiasm for life will be missed by all who knew him.
Mark’s vibrant spirit and love for people will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will carry forward his memory with love and fondness.
A Celebration of Mark's Life will be held at the Wylie Mitchell Hall, Estevan, Sask. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Kidney Foundation of Saskatchewan.
