Cochrane's most magical night of the year is coming up tomorrow evening but what can we expect in terms of the weather?
The 40th anniversary of Cochrane Light Up will see anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 people gather in Historic Downtown Cochrane to kick off the holiday season on Saturday night.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Meteorologist Stephen Berg tells Cochranites what they can expect in the coming days.
"Snow is quite likely with another possibility of five to 15 centimetres all told by Saturday evening. As well with this is a bit of a temperature drop."
This weather is colder than we typically see for this time of year so Berg recommends bundling up if you're heading down to Light Up.
"About 10 to 12 degrees below normal for the highs. For the overnight lows, it will be about 5 degrees below normal. So given the cloud cover, it will be a little less of a temperature drop overnight. It doesn't appear to be anywhere close to an extreme cold warning, but it'll be a little chilly for people."

There will be plenty of free hot chocolate and hot dogs to keep you warm at Light Up, which goes from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
There will also be entertainment, children's activities and fireworks.
When it comes to an early prediction on whether or not Cochrane will have a white or a brown Christmas, Berg says it's too early to say certain.
"It's a tough call. You could get Chinook. I don't know. Two weeks, three weeks from now, and that might just wipe out all the snow. So it's a really tough call."
