The Downtown Business Association is holding their Moonlight Madness to get people out to the downtown tonight.

Estevan's Downtown Business Association is busy as they're hosting a couple of events over the next couple of weeks to get people into the downtown to see what's there.

Tonight's event is the Moonlight Madness, being held from 4-9 p.m. in the downtown area.

Laurel Buck, chair of the DBA, talks about why they decided to bring back an event to the city's forefront.

"We're bringing it back after I think about four years of absence. So from 4 till 9, there are sales down the street and the street will be blocked off. There'll be music playing and kind of a festive atmosphere and people can get their passports at any participating business and then when you get 2 stamps, you can enter to win a grand prize over $500."

Buck says that the event is to help get people out to the downtown so they can do some Christmas shopping and any other buying they want to do during the holiday season.

The other event, which has been held by the DBA for many years, is the Miracle on 4th Street, set for next week.

Buck says that one will be an event most people won't want to miss.

"Miracle on 4th is more of our family event. There will also be sales that day, but that will take place on the 14th and there will be lots of stuff happening. There are warm-up stations with fires where you can roast marshmallows, there's hot chocolate, there are sleigh rides, child's activities and crafts, and Santa will be here. It's just a really fun festive day."
