Estevan Fire Rescue (EFR) responded to multiple incidents this week, including vehicle fires and a vehicle rollover. 

On December 2, 2024, at around 1:30 p.m., EFR was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover south of the city. Crews, along with EPS, RCMP, and EMS, responded to the scene. No entrapment or injuries were reported, and EFR assistance was not required.

On December 4, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., EFR responded to a vehicle fire in the northeast area of the city. The fire was quickly extinguished, with damages contained to the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is believed to be mechanical or electrical in nature.

On December 7, 2024, EFR held its annual toy drive at Canadian Tire, which was deemed a success. EFR expressed gratitude to Canadian Tire for hosting the event and to those who donated toys and money for the Estevan Angel Tree.

On December 8, 2024, at around 6 p.m., EFR was dispatched to a vehicle fire in Hitchcock. Crews responded and extinguished the fire, with no injuries reported and damages contained to the vehicle. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Later that evening, at approximately 8:30 p.m., EFR was dispatched to assist Midale Fire with a structure fire in the Macoun area. EFR sent an engine and tank to help extinguish the fire and crews remained on scene throughout the night
