The Estevan Police Service responded to several incidents between December 13 and 15, handling a range of reports including threats, harassment, traffic offences, and fraud.

On December 13, police received a report of an individual making threats to harm another person, leading to a statement being obtained. The matter remains under investigation. A harassment situation at St. Joseph’s Hospital was also mediated by officers, resolving the issue between the involved parties.

The EPS responded to a report of a stolen power cord from a personal care home. However, after investigating, police found the property and confirmed no theft had occurred. On Valley Street, a 32-year-old woman from Tuxford was issued a three-day driving suspension and a three-day vehicle impoundment following a traffic stop. During the same stop, a second female was arrested on an unendorsed warrant from the Regina Police Service and held in custody to attend court in Regina.

Another traffic stop on 12th Avenue led to a three-day driving suspension and vehicle impoundment for a 44-year-old Estevan woman after she tested positive for drugs on an oral fluid device. Additionally, police arrested an Estevan woman for theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and failing to comply with judicial release. She was lodged in cells and remanded for a court appearance.

On December 14, police investigated a fraud case involving a $5,000 scam where the victim was contacted by telephone and asked to send money for a relative’s bail. The investigation is ongoing. Officers also assisted in keeping the peace during a property exchange between two individuals who previously resided together. Police received another report regarding a male failing to comply with court-ordered conditions, with the investigation continuing.

December 15 saw two females involved in a dispute on Highway 47 north of Estevan. The individuals, who were related, were transported to EPS where officers, alongside the Police and Crisis Team (PACT), mediated the situation. A separate property dispute on First Street was also addressed, with both parties advised to seek Civil Court assistance for ongoing issues.

Finally, EPS responded to a report of injured deer on Highway 47 South. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the deer had expired and removed it from the highway to avoid further hazards. The Department of Highways was contacted for the animal's removal.
