UPDATE: Highway 5 closed on Monday following multi-vehicle collision

RCMP and Humboldt First responders attended a collision incident at 12:30 pm yesterday on Highway 5, approximately 2 km west of Muenster. 

A semi-truck and two vehicles were involved in a collision that shut down the highway for a period of time. Fire crews attended to deal with a blaze at the site. Traffic was diverted via grid roads through Muenster while the Highway was cleared. 

One occupant was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The highway has since reopened to traffic. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
